Delicious food and good vibes. We can’t for the life of us work out her name on this card. But, incredible service from our lovely server. She was on job with everything and all the tables around us too. Your attention to detail did not go unnoticed!!! ⭐️ (Give this girl a raise)

It was ok. First visit since refurb, we were there 2 hours with waits between courses. The dish chosen wasn't available (should've been told this upon seating) no crackling or baked apples for roast pork. If there's missing items, customers should be informed. The waitress was lovely and tried her best with the lack of items from the kitchen. I'd go again for a snack and a drink, however I would ask not to be sat next to the smokey fire with ashes coming out past the grill, I also need to wash my coat now as it smells of bonfires.

I don’t know our waitress’ name but despite how busy her area was she was the PERFECT level of chatty and friendly. She was attentive and got us all extra custard and peas when the order wasn’t quite what the menu said (sea bass!) Nothing was too much and she is a real asset to the pub. Food took a while but it was all lovely and hot and delicious and it was a really busy day. The manager who greeted us was really friendly and the pub looked really fresh and clean. Will be spreading the word that the pub is back better than ever. Dietary restrictions: Vegan custard was a winner as was the vegan friendly veg wrap

Recently refurbished and it shows with the lovely interior design finish’s. We had the Christmas meal set menu, fair price with fair food, good service if a little slow (to be expected at this time of year) .Overall a pleasant experience.

We had a fantastic evening celebrating a family birthday. The food was absolutely lovely and we asked the waitress (Rochelle) to pass on our thanks to the chef for what had been served - especially the pork belly, which was the best we’d had compared to another local high-end restaurant. This apparently made the chef’s day. Have to say, the pavlova was amazing too! Service was friendly, helpful and not too intrusive - got the balance just right, and fully deserved their tip. So pleased this is open again and we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was freezing cold, the service was unbelievably slow, not all food on the menu was available and our food was of poor quality. We had to ask for a glass repeatedly and requested a jug of water 3 times before it finally arrived. The deposit was not taken off the bill, I phoned early this morning and was told the manager would be in contact but this has still not happened. The meal was to celebrate a birthday and we thought this restaurant would be perfect as we had eaten there in the past and had always been happy. Not the case this time, very disappointed and would not recommend a visit here.

Came here today for brunch with a friend. The restaurant looked lovely. The waitress was lovely and helpful unfortunately the coffee we ordered was Luke warm and the breakfast was cold. We sent this back and it was slightly improved but some of the food was still cold. We spoke to the waitress who was lovely and apologetic. They took £20 off the bill which was fair. It’s a shame as it wasn’t that busy. I would probably give it one more try due to how this was dealt with. As I have said the pub is lovely but you need to make sure the food is up to a good standard.

On Wednesday met up with a couple of friends for lunch. My goodness what an amazing refurbishment - it looks amazing with its botanical them!! We all decided to have the pie - ham hock & leeks in rosemary pastry, with mash, beans/carrots & we most definitely were not disappointed, it was absolutely delicious!! Afterwards the two others had hot drinks - tea & a latte. The server - she was very helpful, friendly & pleasant as were the ladies serving behind the bar. Will definitely be paying another visit. Parking: Lots of parking to the front of the venue

THE REOPENING Oct 23, the tasting day! Absolutely fantastic food and service impeccable! So happy the local has reopened! The refurb is lovely, so bright and welcoming! Thank you fox and raven! Wish you all the success!

We felt so welcome and had excellent service here on the opening night. The menu has a great choice of delicious food.
